Album Review #1 Boz Scaggs - Down Two Then Left (1977)

Friday, October 20, 2006

***
Fun way to start the series with a good mix of 70’s pop, with almost a jazz feel to it. Scaggs mixes strong song writing with good musicians (Ray Parker, Jr did the lead guitars!). The first four songs are very strong with “Still Falling for You” leading the way. The second side lulls a little bit, but picks up with “1993”. There a no classics on this album, but all in all a solid album from a solid performer.
Recommended pick up on Album and 8-Track.
